Concentration on Flowers

A flowers concentration I did over the summer. My family and I went to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens one day early in the morning trying to beat out most of the rain for the day, it was a wonderful visit and so much fun! While there it did start to rain a good bit and we got to just hang out under one of the many gazebos throughout the gardens until it let off some!
I managed to get quite a few beautiful photos out of this adventure. I loved the rain drops on all the plants, they really added some drama!

A Little About Me and My Business

I am a personal photographer in Birmingham, AL. I've lived here my whole life, I have a beautiful family consisting of my loving husband, Jacob and my 4-year-old daughter, Jocelyn.
I developed a passion for photography when I was in high school. There I took four different photography courses, including an advanced placement course. I also took a semester of filmography to better understand technique and more about the craft. I have a sincere love for what I do... I feel more myself behind a camera than anywhere else, aside from my home of course! :)

I use a Nikon D-3100 camera. I LOVE it!! I have a standard 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm lens for it so far. I also have a beautiful film camera that I first learned on. It's a Minolta from the early to mid 1900s, (it was originally my grandfather's.) It is completely hand adjustable and I have a 55mm lens and 135mm lens for it!

I'll work with any kind of special even that needs to be remembered for a client! I've done a multitude of birthday parties, a few weddings, and some family sessions to name a few.

I have a true love for our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ!! Without him, none of this would be possible for me! I gave my life to him over two years ago and everything has changed so much for the better since I did so! I attend Church of the Highlands here in Birmingham, I've been attending church there for four years now and I love it so so much!
Something I like to tell all of my clients is that I give, or tithe, 10% of whatever I make from any session!! I have a real passion, a heart, for preventing/stopping human trafficking. There is a local organization called The Wellhouse that does just that!!! And with help from others they are moving in leaps and bounds to stop this horrible, sick thing from continuing!

I give 10%, no matter if I make $1000.00 from an event.... $100.00 is going to The Wellhouse, here in Birmingham, AL!!
If you have a heart for this please go and check out their website to see if you, too, can help prevent anymore of this to happen: http://the-wellhouse.org/

My prices tend to vary depending on what you are looking for. I will say that I try to make them as reasonable and as affordable as possible. If you have any questions about them, please just ask! I am an open book and will try to help you out in anyway I can!!

I look forward to posting some of my work with you all soon!!
